Christopher Martin MW Joins WSG as Director of Education

Wine Scholar Guild (WSG) is delighted to announce that Christopher Martin MW has joined the team as Director of Education. As one of the very most recent individuals to achieve the Master of Wine certification in February 2024, Christopher has a strong background in education, with over 18 years of teaching a range of students from primary schools to graduate-level courses.
Prior to joining WSG, Christopher was part of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) team for 8 years, initially as part of the business development team focused on the Asia Pacific region before embarking on his role as the WSET Head of Educator Development in charge of the Educator Training Programme (ETP), the WSET official certification program for training WSET certified educators.
An Anglo-American who grew up between the United Kingdom and the United States, Christopher graduated with a degree in Philosophy and German from The University of Chicago and taught English as a foreign language throughout Europe, as well as higher-level study and research skills to BA and MBA students in London, before becoming a member of the wine trade. Christopher judges regularly at wine competitions around the globe. He is frequently sought after for his personal views on the industry.
