This scholarship offers one burgeoning wine professional a seat on the Bourgogne Masters Immersion experience, taking place in Beaune, France from May 19-24, 2024.
About Albert Sheen
In loving memory of our dear friend and dedicated wine traveler, Albert Sheen, we are honored to offer the Albert Sheen Memorial Scholarship.
This scholarship serves as a tribute to a kind and passionate person with whom we had the pleasure of exploring the world of wines with on many Wine Scholar Guild trips.
In alignment with WSG's mission to empower through inclusive wine education, it allows wine professionals who are just starting their journey to broaden their horizons with travel. The awardee of this scholarship will be given an outstanding opportunity to see, experience and taste in Bourgogne.

Who Can Apply
Wine professionals, with 3 or fewer years of experience in the wine industry, regardless of age.
Students who have completed or who are currently enrolled in the French Wine Scholar and/or Bourgogne Masters certification programs.
Candidates must provide a recommendation from a current colleague/co-worker. This recommendation should state that the candidate has entered the wine industry in the last three years.
How to Apply
Submit an essay of 1,500-2,500 words on the topic below.
Submit your CV/résumé.
Submit a recommendation letter.
The deadline for the scholarship application was January 31, 2024. The scholarship awardee will be notified in early February 2024.

The Award
The recipient of the Albert Sheen Memorial Scholarship will receive a fully-paid seat on the Bourgogne Masters Immersion taking place in Beaune from May of 19-24, 2024. This experience is valued at $3390.
The scholarship does not cover travel costs to and from Beaune, lodging or the costs of meals that are not included in the program.
