FWS now approved for Singapore Skillsfuture

The Wine Scholar Guild’s French Wine Scholar (FWS) Program received official endorsement as an approved wine certification program from Skillsfuture Singapore!

The Skillsfuture is a national movement that encourages individuals to take ownership of their skills development and lifelong learning.

All Singaporeans aged 25 and above have received an opening credit of S$500 since January 2016. Such credit will not expire and the Singapore government will provide periodic top-ups so that Singaporeans may accumulate their credit, and use it to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses in the Skillsfuture listing.

The Skillsfuture, a national initiative, aspires to deepen skills and achieve mastery in professional fields through a list of curated courses; such aim coincides neatly into ours, which is to increase professionalism in the Wine, F&B, Hospitality and related trade sectors.”

Lim continues, “The efforts we have cultivated in building credibility and to heighten awareness of FWS program among professionals and enthusiasts were instrumental in paving the way for the FWS program to be approved as part of Skillsfuture courses.” Lim also highlighted that FWS program’s approved status in Skillsfuture will run till year 2021.

Wine Scholar Guild President, Julian Camus, stated, “Having a Singapore Skillsfuture listing validates the resumé-building nature of this study and certification program. We are proud to be a part of Singapore’s commitment to professional development.”
