Welcome to WSG Wine Club! This is the community’s live, monthly online tasting club where we connect, share some great wines and have some fun exploring our regional theme together.
Theme: Whites of the Northern Rhone
As we continue our exploration of the Northern Rhone, I want to focus on some of the amazing white wines coming out of the region. The main trio of white grapes in this region are so interesting and distinctive, and hardly planted anywhere else in Europe, but still live in the shadow of the reds. Let's see if we can get under the skin of these wines a bit more and enjoy the versatlity and tremendous quality of these waxy, textured white wines.
Bring a Bottle!
If you can, I'd invite you to try and source one of the white wines from Matt Walls' Wine Lists that you can see below. If you can't find any, then you can just bring along any other white wine from the Northern Rhone that you'd like to taste. It can be still, sweet or sparkling!
This event is designed to be fun, relaxed and informal where we learn a bit about the wines, and also get to know some other members of the community. No previous wine tasting experience is necessary – everyone is welcome! This is a mics on, cameras on event!
The event will be held in our community forum on April 30th, 12pm ET and will last one hour.
