Congratulations to Adrian Heft, FWS for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with the honors with the Sussex Wine School in UK!
About Adrian:
''I am a wine enthusiast (my “day job” is working for the Treasury division of a US multi-national company); however I have set up a business to arrange wine tastings and vineyard tours in order to promote interest in wine. My interest was enhanced by attending study sessions with Sussex Wine School. I like to get people to try new wines (and beers) and seeing them enjoy the result.
I have passed WSET level 2 and level 3. The FWS program was obviously more detailed given the narrower scope. I have recently enrolled in the Bordeaux Master Level programme and would be interested in studying for the Spanish Wine Scholar when launched, if offered by a local wine school.
I think it gives credibility, especially as I am not in the wine trade full-time – this means I need to acquire knowledge through study, rather than picking it up through day-to-day work. It has sparked further interest, e.g. I have arranged a three day trip to Bordeaux, and it has encouraged me to try new and different wines.''
