Congratulations to Alessandra Esteves, FWS for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors!
About Alessandra:
''I am the co-founder and Director of Wine Education for the Florida Wine Academy in Miami. I started my working career as a corporate lawyer and wrote three books about wine. In 2016, I finished the WSET Diploma in Wine and Spirits and decided to open the wine school in Miami, teaching courses in 3 languages.
I have the WSET Level 4 Diploma and the Master of Champagne by the Wine Scholar Guild, which I enjoyed very much. The French Wine Scholar has helped me to understand the French wine regions in detail, and now I can apply this knowledge into the classes I teach.
Burgundy is a very complex wine region, with 33 Grand Cru and more than 600 Premier Cru vineyards. It takes time and effort to discern all of that. The FWS program has helped me understand the region a lot better, so now I can choose more suitable wines for my classes and talk more confidently about the region.''
