Congratulations to Emily Carlson, FWS, for passing the French Wine Scholar with highest honors with the San Francisco Wine School.
About Emily:
I am a wine professional, working as a Sommelier and Beverage and Service Manager at the Michelin starred The Farmhouse Inn Restaurant in Forestville, California. I started my career in restaurants as a pastry chef and then moved into the front of the house where I developed my love and passion for wine.
I love to study wine and have taken many courses, none compare to the depth and breadth of information in the French Wine Scholar Guild program. I look forward to taking some of the Expert level courses to dive even deeper.
FWS gives me a strong foundation of knowledge to explain to guests why a wine tastes the way that it does. The discussions on soil, climate and culture will serve me well in the future.
