Congratulations Isabella Izquierdo, FWS for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with honors with JWU in North Miami, FL!
About Isabella Izquierdo:
''I am a wine enthusiast….ever since I tasted and discovered the culture and history behind it, I fell completely in love. It embodies so many aspects of our lives and origins and is related to many other things. I love the way that wine can become the center piece of a gathering, how different wines can be paired with different foods. Wine can be both a conversation starter and an entire subject of discussion and interpretation among professionals, enthusiasts or complete novices. It is a living thing that continues to evolve and capture those who are always seeking more; more knowledge, more variety, more wine!
My other Certifications: Sommelier Society of America (first in my class), WSET Level 3 (Passed with Honors), FWS (Passed with Honors).
This course has been a great complement as it has deepened my knowledge in French wine, these being the utter-most influential and basically the pioneers of the whole wine revolution.
I am planning to do the next courses: Italian Wine Scholar, Portuguese Wine, Provence, Bourgogne and the WSET Diploma.
Thanks to this course, I have been able to gain a better and more thorough understanding of French wines and of the origins of wine and wine-making. With France being a country with such rich history in wines, I am looking forward to exploring more and studying specific regions to continue broadening my knowledge.''
