Congratulations to Renato Ahualle, FWS, for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors!
About Renato:
I am both a wine enthusiast and professional. My passion for wine and food started a long time ago. Wine is a journey. One of life and learning. Drinking wine means being together and enjoying amazing moments. It is a glass of happiness, shared with family and friends. Inside a bottle of wine, you can find the story of a territory and its history, trapped by a cork just waiting to be discovered.
I had the chance to work as a sommelier in a few restaurants and hotels in Canada, Brazil and England. After that I jumped into wine business – retail and also wine tastings for companies and individuals. Wine education will be my next target.
My last certifications were:
- Sommelier Attestation of Vocational Specialty in Montreal, Canada
- Hospitality/Beverage Specialist Certificate – Society of Wine Educators, Washington DC, USA
- WSET 2 – Pass with Distinction – Fine Vintage Ltd, Toronto, Canada
I am currently enrolled in WSET 3 and I can tell that FWS prepared me really well to continue my education path. All the French part of WSET 3 is now way easier to go through. I am sure that FWS will also help me with the WSET 4 Diploma, which I am planning to start next year.
I strongly recommend FWS if you want to deepen your knowledge about French wines and regions. It is by far the best French wine education available nowadays!!
