Bordeaux is known for its Merlot/Cabernet blends but in such a large region there are many other styles of wines, thanks to innovative and experimental wine makers, that remain under the radar. Here are 2 ‘solera’ multi-vintage wines, an orange wine from Cérons and some un expected bubbles from Sauternes, a sparkling Red and a Pet Nat from the Entre-deux-Mers.

Un Dimanche en Famille, from across 5 vintages of Chateau Lestrille in the Entre deux Mers
Orange wine from Chateau de Cérons, 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Sauvignon Gris. Protected from oxidation in stainless steel to preserve the signature freshness, minerality and aromas of the Cérons limestone terroir.
Sparkling Sémillon aged for 36 months on lees in the bottle in the traditional method, 12° alcohol extra brut despite the ‘liqueur d’expédition’ being Château Sigalas Rabaud.
