Château Lagrange
Château Lagrange, 33250 Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, France

Categories
Notable Producers
Location
The Médoc - Saint-Julien
At 118 ha, and therefore the largest property of the appellation, the château resembles an Italian renaissance building and director Mathieu Bordes is a bit of a renaissance man. He draws on the natural environment, history of the property and the latest innovation to create a range of excellent wines, that still remain good value – at least at this level of quality and classification.
Owned by the Japanese Suntory group, also co-owners of Château Beychevelle, they brought back to life this virtually abandoned vineyard. You enter by the beautiful lake lined with the Arum lilies that give their name to the delicious white wine.
