The wonderful François Despagne who makes this wine is a discreet champion of environmentally friendly viticulture way before it became a trend. The Despagne family have been in the region since the 17th century. It’s still the family home, and since 1996 François is the 7th generation in charge. In 2006, he brought it back to its original classified status. In the cool northern edge of the appellation near Pomerol, it has been farmed sustainably since 1996 and organic since 2013.
