Château Loudenne

Loudenne has a long history of connection with Britain going back to the Gilbeys in the 1870s who were the centre of the Médoc social scene, a tradition continued under IDV ownership. Also negociants, the Gilbeys built monumental cellars on the waterfront to ship wine directly from the property. Now, under the Gouache French family ownership the property is farmed organically, producing a range of delightful and excellent value red, white (the oldest in the Médoc apparently) and rosé wines. They once again use the original quay to welcome guests by boat.
