Domaine Bernard Faurie

Softly spoken with movie-star looks, Bernard Faurie has largely handed over his vineyards to his son-in-law Emmanuel Darnaud now. If you can find any of his Hermitage, don’t hesitate – his was a uniquely elegant expression of the sacred Hill. There is usually no cuvée name on the label, but a gold capsule denotes a blend of Les Bessards and Le Méal; a white capsule is Les Greffieux and Les Bessards. A gold M denotes pure Méal, and he has been known to bottle pure Bessards too.
