An in-depth study of French wine - the study materials are detailed and comprehensive so the At a Glance summaries were particularly good to have at revision time. The classroom lectures with tastings were invaluable in presenting the essence of each region and Yorkshire Wine School were excellent as usual.

French Wine Scholar is the best wine education course I've taken so far. The materials are extremely high-quality both online and in print. I've found myself fascinated by regions I often neglected such as Jura and Beaujolais. I found the teachings very relevant to my wine journey and made me crave exploring French wines a whole lot more.

I enjoyed FWS so much that I have already subscribed and started studying for IWS1. It is worth the effort to deep dive into all the aspects of the wines of a country.

I found the FWS program extremely valuable and with great details. While it clearly goes into strong depth on each region it does an amazing job of tying France together. I am currently pursuing the WSET Diploma in Wine and the FWS (and IWS) have given me a great head start.

A great way to deep-dive in all things French wine related: from understanding the basics of the wines from each corner of l'hexagon and the reasons why certain styles are made, to why AOC labelled wines don't always mean the best. The FWS program has something for all...

Taming the FWS was, above all, fun! There is an vast and detailed content for each French region. Initially, it may even seem scary, but with time everything fits together like a big puzzle and the result is beautiful! Knowledge for life! The goal now is to be able to visit all these beautiful regions in loco. Santé!

The French Wine Scholar program is the second Wine Scholar Guild program i've taken after passing the Spanish Wine Scholar exam earlier this year. I highly recommend these programs to expand your wine knowledge. They are very well written and the supplemental materials that are included on-line make for a very enjoyable learning experience.

A brilliant course for enthusiasts of French wine and France, which comes through in the relevant history, geography and winemaking that integrate into a program that's much more of a full terroir than a simple tutored tasting . I rediscovered a passion for France and a much greater understanding of its wines.
