Congratulations to Antoinette Landragin, FWS, for passing the French Wine Scholar exam with highest honors!

About Antoinette:

Wine runs in my blood! My father is a sixth-generation winemaker from Champagne and became a travelling winemaker at the time of my birth, where he made wine in Champagne, Loire, Australia, and the United States. My upbringing always included discussions on wine, wine regions, winemaking, and, of course, wine itself. I have travelled to many countries for wine-focused research and look forward to visiting many more, as there is so much to learn. I managed my own wine store since 2007 and today I am the VP of Cork & Fork wine store in Logan Circle, DC, opened in 2010. Wine is my life and it’s an exciting one, as every year, new vintages being new data to study and new wines to enjoy!

The French Wine Scholar studies paralleled my WSET III studies and I received my certificate for level III in December, and 15 days later, the prized FWS certificate arrived. I am currently in the WSET Diploma program while simultaneously studying Champagne with the FWS Master Level Program. The FWS program created a desire to explore more on the wine regions of the world, starting with France. I am excited to attend the Italian Wine Scholar program later this year and the Spanish Wine Program next year.

The FWS offered an incredible amount of detail that was both engaging and useful. The information learned from it is applied daily in my work and I am grateful to my instructor, Lisa Airey, for having so brilliantly brought the program to life.
