Congratulations to Chantal Honoré Molin, FWS, for achieving highest honors in the French Wine Scholar exam with WiSP, Bordeaux!

About Chantal:

I have been a wine lover since I discovered this world when I was studying Geography at Paris La Sorbonne University.  I decided to dedicate my career to gastronomy and wines promotion and defense.  Today I am a teacher and I train young professionals who are planning to work in the food and wine fields.

I have a master of geography specialized in Gastronomy and wine and an MBA in Food and Wine Marketing. I passed the WSET 2 and 3 which were very interesting to get more familiar with wines from other countries. The FWS is particularly interesting because it brings more detailed information about each French vineyard and appellation. The geographical and geological approach are completely helpful to understand French wines and their tasting profiles.

I plan to pass other certifications, maybe for the Cognac and the Sake and I will try to keep the excellent learning method given by the FWS.

In my job I often interact with students from the entire world, so, even if the FWS is available in French, I decided to prepare and pass the certificate in English to improve my knowledge in the English wine vocabulary. Thanks to the FWS I can select the accurate words to explain the different winemaking operations.  Wine is first and foremost about sharing and the FWS gave me the opportunity to be able to do it even better.
